Questions to Ask Senior Living Communities
Transitioning to senior living can be difficult for the senior, as well as for their family members. There are lots of questions about the future, and answers can be tricky to find. We’ve compiled a list of senior living FAQs as a resource for your family.
How can I find out how much your senior living services costs?
We know that everyone’s circumstances are different and that cost is an essential factor in the type of care you’re able to provide for your loved one. Our sales counselors will happily walk you through funding options.
How often do I make payments for my parents to live at The Arbors and The Ivy Assisted Living Communities?
Can I bring my pet?
Do you offer short-term stays?
Yes! We offer short-term stays in the form of respite while caregivers are unavailable. This can be a good time for your loved one to experience what it’s like living at The Arbors and The Ivy without the long-term commitment.
Can I bring my own furniture?
When I can visit my mom and dad?
What if my parents follow a special diet? Will their dietary needs be accommodated?
Yes! We have a variety of options at each meal in order to accommodate varied dietary needs. Meals can also be adjusted in consideration of allergies or modified due to medical needs. Meals are served three times a day in a restaurant-style dining room, and all of our communities have a pub open 24/7 for snacks and drinks.
Do you specialize in memory care?
Yes, we do. Each of our staff members is certified by our Reflections memory care director. Reflections is a community here at The Arbors and The Ivy dedicated to senior residents with memory concerns. Find out more about Reflections by clicking here.
What if my grandparents suddenly need more care as they age?
