What Our Happy Families Have To Say About Our Assisted Living Community On Google

I live out of state and had been in New England many weeks before I got my parents to try a three week trial stay at the Arbors in Taunton. After only a few days, Mom was saying how much she loved the Arbors but Dad was counting the days until they could go home. After I was home, my Dad told my cousin to contact me to see if they could get a permanent apartment. One call to Brendan and they were on their way. After only two weeks, they are happily living at the Arbors. Dad keeps saying how much easier it is to live there than at home. They both love the staff. Mom has been to a couple of music activities. Dad, a finicky eater, is even finding plenty to eat there. I am told that even after 61 years of marriage, they walk around the Arbors holding hands.

Why Should You Consider Assisted Living?

As your loved ones grow older, time with them becomes more precious and limited. No matter their age or current limitation, you want to ensure they enjoy the best possible quality of life. Assisted living communities may be a practical option for independent living for seniors if you cannot always be with them due to work or other obligations. As your loved one may require assistance with daily activities such as driving, cooking, bathing, laundry, personal hygiene, and/or housekeeping tasks.

Ensuring that your elderly loved one’s needs are met, you are helping them achieve the higher quality of life they deserve. According to a national poll on healthy aging, 34% of American seniors experience loneliness due to isolation and lack of companionship. This lack of social interaction can ultimately impact their overall health in the long run.

High-quality assisted living communities, like the Arbors Assisted Living in Taunton, Massachusetts, offer various daily, weekly, and monthly activities to keep the mind and body healthy. Your loved one can participate in social activities such as book clubs, therapeutic activities like gardening, and social outings. Activities that researchers at Harvard School of Public Health found can help slow down the rate of memory decline and reduce feelings of isolation and depression. Ultimately helping them improve their physical health, meet their overall wellness goals, and build strong bonds with other residents and our staff.

What Is the Cost of Assisted Living Near You, and What Is Covered in the Monthly Fee?

The cost of assisted living in Massachusetts varies depending on the type of care, location, and level of services needed.

  • Traditional assisted living: The average cost in Massachusetts is between $4,000 and $8,000 per month. This type of care provides help with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Alzheimer’s and dementia care: Alzheimer’s and dementia care is more expensive than traditional assisted living, with an average cost of between $5,500 and $10,000 per month. This type of care requires specialized staff and programming to meet the needs of people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

It is hard to lock down a standard price for everyone. This is because the cost of assisted living can vary greatly depending on the individual’s needs. At The Arbors, we understand that every person is different, and their care needs are unique. That’s why we offer customized pricing that is tailored to your loved one’s specific requirements.

At The Arbors, the base monthly fee includes:

  • 24-hour security
  • 24-hour staffing
  • Cultural, educational, and social activities
  • Health promotion and exercise programs
  • Laundry services
  • Maintenance
  • Personal care services (1 hour per day)
  • Reminders for self-administered medication
  • Scheduled transportation
  • Three meals served daily in the dining room
  • Weekly housekeeping, including flat linen service

We understand that the cost of assisted living can be a major concern for families. However, we believe that it is important to meet with each family individually to discuss their loved one’s specific needs and requirements.

The best way to get an accurate estimate of the cost of assisted living is to schedule a consultation with a member of our team. We will take the time to understand your loved one’s needs and requirements and provide you with a personalized pricing estimate.

Check out the following resources for more detailed information on how much assisted living costs:

Cost of Living in Taunton Massachusetts and How It Impacts Cost of Assisted Living

One of the most significant factors in determining the cost of an assisted living facility versus another is the cost of living in the city and state where you plan to live. As Taunton is close to neighboring cities like Boston and Providence, the cost of living is higher than that of the rest of Massachusetts. On average, Taunton is around 11.7% higher than the US average but 12.4% lower than the Massachusetts average. The local real estate prices, labor costs, and demand for senior care services greatly influence these percentages.

Available Amenities

The cost of living in a city not only affects the financial aspect but also the range of amenities available at each location. In cities with a higher cost of living, such as Taunton, you can expect to find facilities with a wide range of amenities, such as swimming pools, fitness centers, and recreational activities. This is due to the higher revenue generated, which can be invested in providing these additional services.

At the Taunton location, we have several amenities that will suit just about everyone:

Community Resources

Another aspect that can impact the cost of an assisted living facility is the community resources each facility offers. Services such as transportation services and social support networks can vary between cities, indirectly impacting the quality of life for seniors in assisted living.

At all our locations, we encourage our residents to stay engaged within our community and socialize amongst our other residents. That is why we offer many social effects such as:

  • Weekly off-campus social outings
  • Daily exercise and fitness gatherings
  • Weekly shopping trips
  • Guest entertainers
  • and more community resources

Taunton itself provides a variety of entertainment and leisure activities. The city boasts several parks, historical sites, and museums, like the Old Colony History Museum, which offer educational and recreational opportunities. These locations, as well as dining out and movie theatersare common places for our weekly activities.

Healthcare Services

Available health care services are another aspect that can affect the cost of living in an area as well as the price of your assisted living facility. Healthcare in Taunton is accessible and affordable, with several well-regarded hospitals and clinics in and around the area. Dental visits and other specialized medical services are also reasonably priced, contributing to an overall good quality of life.

At our location in Taunton, we offer state-of-the-art medical services with tiered levels of care that are customized to help all our residents. All our facilities offer the best nursing care, including:

Overall, Taunton, Massachusetts, offers a cost-effective alternative to the pricier urban centers of New England while still providing a high quality of life. The city’s reasonable housing market, accessible healthcare, and myriad of transportation options make it attractive for those looking to relocate. With its blend of modern amenities and historical richness, Taunton continues to be a desirable place for residents who value both affordability and quality in their living environment.
